Nope, no sugar or sweeteners. Zero grams of sugar in every product. We figure if you want it sweet, you can do your thing & add your favorite sweetener.

Yep, all of our products contain zero grains or gluten-containing ingredients, and are produced in a gluten-free facility.

Where is Rasa made?
Rasa is based out of Boulder, CO and manufactured in Denver, CO. We source our herbs from all over the world with an ever-increasing obsession for ethics and sustainability.

Is Rasa organic?
Original, Cacao, & Dirty are Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth. The remaining blends have 85% organic herbs. We use non-organic herbs in the rare circumstance where organic is unavailable, or with things like adaptogen powerhouse shilajit, which is technically a rock & therefore can’t be certified organic.

Is Rasa Fair Trade?
We buy Fair Trade or Direct Trade, which many consider better than Fair Trade. Buying direct allows us to have real, caring relationships with our suppliers.

Is Rasa Whole30-Approved®?
Original, Cacao, Dirty, & Bold are Whole30-Approved®. Our other blends are not, due to the use of approximately .1% of cassava-derived dextrin or maltodextrin, which is in these products strictly because without a flow agent, the herbs will turn into a hard brick—and nobody likes hard-brick Rasa.

Can you drink Rasa during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Rasa was started by a mama who drank it during pregnancy & breastfeeding. However, while there is no scientific evidence saying the herbs in Rasa are unsafe for pregnancy and breastfeeding, there is also no evidence saying that they are safe, either—there’s just not enough information either way.
Dozens of traditional herbalists, Chinese medicine practitioners, Ayurveda docs, and midwives support Rasa for pregnancy & breastfeeding, but listen to your body and your baby (& your own doc) to know what’s best for your unique situation.
We don’t recommend Calm or Bold during pregnancy—these blends are too strong for the sensitive ecosystem of the pregnant mother & baby.

The quick & dirty: adaptogens are a class of herbs used by indigenous cultures for millennia, but the name “adaptogen” was coined by Russian scientists in the 1940s who were looking to give elite athletes and supersoldiers an edge without the crash.
Adaptogens strengthen your stress response system, literally exercising it so you can handle higher stress loads with more ease (just like lifting weights).
Adaptogens can both stimulate & balance our cortisol, giving you more stable energy over time. Stress drains energy, so if you have less stress, you have more energy. Adaptogens have a cumulative effect, so take them daily & watch the benefits stack up!

What does Rasa taste like?
Each of our blends are different in flavor & in function, but they all include our proprietary Digest & Detox™ that includes a roasty, robust combination of roasted roots of chicory, dandelion, burdock roots, and the world’s only organic roasted date seed.
From there, our clinical herbalist Ben adds combinations of adaptogens, mushrooms, herbs, cacao, and aromatic botanicals for a unique flavor you can drink all day. Be sure to add your favorite creamer and try them all to find your favorites!

I absolutely love the addition of cacao in my morning brew. I mix it with dirty to make for the perfect taste blend. So just a little caffeine (which is all I need and want) and that sweet comforting taste of cacao. Absolutely look forward to getting up every morning knowing I will indulge in a delicious tasty life giving coffee alternative ❤️
I love the chocolate-y flavor of this brew. It has become my go-to, and basic for mixing with Bold, or Peppermint, and even Calm, for variety. Creating a Rasa ritual in my day is supporting me transitioning away from coffee/high caffeine use. Thank you!
