This Giving Tuesday, we wanted to share with you three organizations that are near and dear to us here at Rasa—both aligned with our love of herbs, and our local community.
If you’re looking for a place to give today, we encourage you to check out these organizations that we hold close to our hearts! Or find a local organization that speaks to you and your values.
With gratitude for protecting herbs: United Plant Savers
The United Plant Savers mission is to protect native medicinal plants of North America and ensure an abundant and sustainable supply of these plants for future generations. Because we source and deeply love wild plants at Rasa supporting UPS is an easy decision for us. Thank you UPS for inspiring us with your work!
With gratitude for supporting those in urgent need in our community: Emergency Family Assistance Association
The Emergency Family Assistance Association (EFAA) is a local-to-us organization based right here in Boulder, Colorado, providing “food, financial assistance, family house, and support case management to help families thrive.” We are so grateful to them for supporting and nourishing local folks in need in our backyard.
With gratitude for nourishing meals after disasters: Grassroots Alliance
Grassroots Alliance has been on the front lines of disaster recovery since Hurricane Katrina, providing millions of healthy, nourishing meals (and hundreds of cups of Rasa!) to immigrants and others less likely to receive aid in the wake of disasters.
It’s easy to get caught up in the deals and consumption-focused messaging of the holiday season—we get it. And we hope you will also consider practicing community care in whichever ways speak to you. Whether it’s volunteering, donating to nonprofits, contributing to mutual aid efforts in your local community, or otherwise, we hope you find a way to nourish others as you’re nourishing yourself!
How are you giving this Giving Tuesday?
