Questions people like you are asking.

The majority of our brew line is made with a French press (if you don’t have a French press, check out this page for all the ways to brew!). If, however, you are interested in one of our instant blends, (Cloud Matcha, Cacao Noir, Classic Herbal Roast/Classic, Radiant Roast Coffee/Café) you just add water, baby! Our entire instant line can be enjoyed both hot or cold. The one exception is our Magnificent Mushrooms product, which you can add to whatever drink you’d like after brewing. Just give it a stir and you’re good to go!

The official answer is that there is not enough information about several of the herbs in Rasa to determine safety. That said, our gentlest blends— Original, Cacao, and Dirty— have no herbs that are contraindicated at one serving (one 8oz cup) per day during your 2nd and 3rd trimester or while nursing. Please consult your midwife or medical provider prior to use and always, always listen to your body!

Please note that Dirty, Café, and Radiant Roast Coffee contains real coffee, and therefore caffeine (35 mg - 70 mg per serving, depending on the blend).

We do not recommend any of our blends during the 1st trimester of pregnancy.

This is one of those personal parent-judgment questions! The Rasa formula in our Original and Cacao blends is a gentle, nourishing blend, designed to be balanced and safe for most people, most of the time. Because these blends use whole herbs it should be fine for children. But nothing is one-size-fits-all! You know your children best. If you choose to share Rasa with your children, keep the dosage small and age-appropriate.

Keep an eye on your little(s) and if you notice anything unusual, maybe it’s not a good fit for them at this time. Little bodies are more sensitive so they may notice these herbs more than our bodies do! But they may also be just fine. It’s your call!

If you’re going to share Rasa with your kids, stick with Original and Cacao, since our other blends are much more potent.

Adaptogens are a class of herbs that help the body adapt to and defend against the toxic effects of stress: they are nature's antidote to stress. They work systematically in the body to balance, restore, and protect. When you're experiencing less stress, your body functions better—better sleep, digestion, libido…you get the jist.

Oh, we are so glad you asked! There sure are lots of products out there to choose from and we take a lot of pride in the products we sell and the intention we put behind them. Here are some ways that Rasa is unique:

Rasa has between 2000-11,000 mg raw herb equivalent of mushrooms & adaptogens per cup, depending on which blend you choose

Improvements: Price, but I get it

Pretty good stuff!

I used to be a big green tea drinker, but resented the feeling that I needed caffeine to get through the day, so I gave it up. I’ve been caffeine free for the past three years and recently decided to give this a go for a subtle energy boost. Really been enjoying it so far, and I’ve also noticed I can still feel the effects of the herbs the next day, unlike the midday crash with coffee. The Original is especially delicious when brewed with a handful of fresh roasted and chopped pecans and a splash of vanilla extract, poured over ice with some milk and maple syrup!

Wow!!!

I was looking for a new hot drink for mornings. I can’t have caffeine because of a heart condition and cortisol issues, I also can’t have gluten because of rheumatoid arthritis which I manage naturally. I had been drinking a popular dandelion root blend for a while but it finally dawned on me that I would feel awful about 30-60 min after breakfast. I also realized that recently this brand had taken the gluten-free label off their bags recently so I did some investigating. Lo and behold, although they claimed the final product did not have gluten (even though it contains barley) because of the extraction process, there was no testing done to ensure this. More digging revealed that independent testing revealed gluten in the final product and consumer action groups pressured the company to remove the gluten-free claim from their product.

Rasa does not claim to be gluten-free, so I researched every ingredient, and none of them contain gluten so I decided to try it out. First of all, it is delicious, I can drink it straight. Second of all, adaptogens! And lastly, I feel great, I don’t have a gluten crash. Thank you Rasa, for making a great product!

I love everything about RASA!

Rasa Original is my favorite blend. It tastes great and doesn't make me jittery like coffee. I really love my coffee so I mix Rasa Original 50/50 with espresso in my espresso maker. It works great!

Rich creamy taste

I love the Rasa Original! I have been using it for about a month, as I'd like to decrease my caffeine intake. I add 1/2 Rasa, and 1/2 coffee to my French Press and am really loving the results. It definitely helps me feel less jittery, no crash, but I don't feel left needing like I need more caffeine.

If you're thinking of buying this to curb your caffeine, or decrease your intake, I 10/10 recommend the Rasa Original!

Tasty alternative to coffee

I was trying to drink less coffee - I kept drinking more and more! Glad to have found an alternative that tastes good.
